Poppy's New Toy
I first met my friend William Olson in 2003. He was fishing a reel that looked
something like a Bogdon. I was pretty impressed when he told me he made it from
scratch. When I pulled a little line off I was blown away by how smooth it felt. William
has made a small number of these reels and I wanted one. While William's reels are
usually disk drag I wanted a click drag so he made it for me. It arrived this weekend.
One cool feature is the backing plate turns with the spool and can be used to palm the
reel.

Click here for pics of my reel.

William has started making his reels full time. He will also have them at the Clearwater
Spey Clave on Sept. 27, 2008 for everyone to look at. Please contact me for more info.
