On March the 20, Poppy and Nana took me to Boise to attend the
Boise Valley Fly Tying Expo. I was really excited to go and had a great time there.

I saw some awesome fly tiers, who could whip out a fly in
short amount time. Those flies were so good they looked like they belonged in a museum. There were some pretty amazing tiers there.

I also saw some of my friends that I hadn't seen since last Fall, like Dave Tucker, Tracy Allen, and Skip Gibson.  While I was there Skip sold Poppy a new Renzetti vise so I'm
getting Poppy's old Rensetti. I'm really excited about getting the vise. It's
really cool because I'm really starting to tie flys and to be able to
ty them on a Renzetti is well, pretty awesome.

The fly show was cool and the dinner was great too. We had some problems getting a room but once we got one and got settled in I think we had a great time.  We had lots of stuff to set up, but we set up in 2 hours and 20 minutes and took it down in 37 minutes the next day. That was pretty quick taking it down but that's not gonna be good enough when we go to Idaho Falls in two weeks, because we only have a half hour to take it down and were taking more stuff.

I can say this though, if you ever have the chance to go to the Boise Valley Fly Fishing Expo you should go because it's pretty amazing.

I recently attended the Sandy Spey Clave, the biggest spey clave in the U.S. It was awesome and I had a blast.

I saw some awesome people there such as Bob Meiser, Mike Kinney, and Simon Gawesworth. Roman Koran helped me with my casting and we demo cast every rod we could get our hands on. The casting demos were really great too.

On my way home Poppy, Mrs Redshed, and I stopped at Tim Rajeff's warehouse and Kerry Burkheimer's shop. Tim's warehouse was incredible. I was expecting to see a huge building. I thought that it was really cool how his warehouse is connected to his house. The place was awesome just like Tim himself. I was able to cast on his casting pond. That was sweet!

At Kerry's shop I was able to watch them build and repair rods. I got to see all the machinery, that was really cool. Kary is such a great guy and so are his rods. One of the guys offered me a job but it was a little too far for me to ride my bike.

I had a great time and hope to visit the Sandy again and again. Thanks to Tim, Kerry, and all the people who took part in the Sandy Spey Clave.
