An ultra short floating shooting head designed to cast sink tips, the Skagit Switch heads will balance with Switch rods of any length and stiffness. They are a shorter cousin of the popular Skagit Compact heads and will cast sink tips better than any other Switch line. Measuring 3 to 6 feet shorter than their Spey cousins the Skagit Switch will fish well in all rivers of the Pacific Northwest as well as the rivers of the Great Lakes. They are designed for casters of all skill levels and will throw heavy flies at the end of 10 to 12 feet of level T-14 sink tip with no problems. Skagit Switch heads are available in 30 grain increments from 360 grain (for 5 weight Switch rods) to a 540 grain (for 8 weight Switch rods).
